Duck and Drakes Brooch

DESIGN STORY: A bit of pond-side serenity sounds great to me. No ugly ducklings here just one happy waterfowl family.

A picnic-perfect favourite returns with a fresh new look. First released in 2016 as part of the Pinup Picnic collection, this design has been thoughtfully updated from top to tail, from the glittering light blue pond to the ducks, now reimagined to resemble Australiana wood ducks. Hand-assembled from layered resin with carefully finished details, the Ducks and Drakes Brooch captures the same playful charm, refreshed with a distinctly local twist.

ABOUT: Each piece is made from laser-cut and layered resin, hand assembled, hand painted and released in limited quantities. As all of our designs are lovingly glued, assembled and painted by hand, there can be very slight variations and blemishes from piece to piece. Due to the hand-mixed nature of the resins in our designs, it is also common and normal to find tiny flecks or bubbles in the resin layers. All in all, this just makes each piece as special and unique as you are.

Brooch clasps are made with a 100% stainless steel pin and plated brass screws. Please note, components change over time and may be made with other materials. Designs come packaged in Erstwilder gift boxes.
