The Redcliffe Cemetery, Researched & Compiled by Patricia Gee (Organisation Redcliffe (Qld Council)
The need for a cemetery at Redcliffe was recognised as early as November, 1864, when Walter Hill stated that: I have noticed that the graves, in many cases, are in unseemly proximity to the abodes of the living, owing, no doubt, to the absence of a public cemetery, and the ordinary established regulations.
As well as the history of the Redcliffe Cemetery, this updated edition of Pat Gee's 1991 book includes biographies, newspaper articles and obituaries of the local people and pioneers buried there, as well as photographs of some of the cemetery's monumental headstones.
